We went out to my parents last night and celebrated Father’s Day finally and birthdays for me and Holly.  Good times, pictures are up on Flickr.

Comfest was this weekend, and we spent Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon over there.  It was a pretty good time, but we had a lot of other stuff going on over the weekend so we only had limited time to hang out. 

It’s funny, I talked to several people who said they just weren’t interested in hanging out on Saturday night when it was really busy.  Everyone who has been going for a number of years seem to prefer Friday night and Sunday during the day.  It has gotten really busy over the last 10 years I’ve been going.  I’m really glad we are close enough to walk.

rode 6ish miles tonight.  They’ve really torn up the bike trail between Third and E.Broadway.  There are two different detours which are not fun, and make it difficult to keep up a fast pace.  They’re supposed to be done “constructing” soon.  Anyone else had trouble on the bike trail?

We made our bi-annual pilgrimage to Athens today.  Holly is off work for the week, so I played hooky too and we headed down south.  We thought school was still in session but it was very obvious that it wasn’t (not too crowded.

We grabbed lunch from a deli and took it to the civil war monument and ate it on the college green.  Then we went over to the new student center and took a look around.  We walked up court street and just hung out for a while, then hit a couple shops and came home.

Always nice to see the old haunts.  The more things change the more they stay the same.
