Turns out that the sore muscles are something called postoperative myalgia, which is associated with a certain muscle relaxant they gave me yesterday.  Feels like I lifted a car over my head yesterday and I’m paying for it today.  So far this is the worst part of the whole surgery.

Just a quick update about the surgery . . .
Everything went really well, and I’m just a little sore today.  The stone had already passed into my bladder so they didn’t have to go far to get it out.  I was completely out for the whole thing so I didn’t feel anything yesterday.  Like I said, today I’m just a little sore, but in places you wouldn’t expect, like my back (muscles, not kidneys) and my throat.

They told me my throat would hurt because they stuck a tube down my throat for the anesthesia.  No big deal though.

I’m going in for some more surgery tomorrow, to take out a kidney stone on my left side.  I’ve had a stone that has been out of the kidney for more than a month, but apparently is stuck in there.  So I’m going in to have them take it out.  Not looking forward to it.  You can imagine how this process works and I don’t think it will be much fun.  Oh well.  The bright side is that i will feel better when it is over.
