Mom is home recovering from the infection. Next test is on the 19th, then surgery scheduled after that. No idea how long after the 19th the surgery will be scheduled. She’s doing fine, just anxious to get the surgery done.

Looks like Mom is coming home tomorrow to take care of the infection at home. The surgery may happen early next week.

UPDATE: She has a urinary tract infection. Has to take antibiotics for a few days before they will re-schedule the surgery.

Mom’s surgery that was was scheduled for today has been postponed. Not exactly sure what is up, but nothing serious. Also no new date. More to come.

Tomorrow my mom will undergo triple bypass surgery to alleviate some blockages around her heart. She felt faint last Thursday and went to the emergency room and they found that she has several blockages , one up to 99% blocked.

We’re all relieved that this was discovered before anything more serious happened. There was no damage to her heart and she will back to normal after she recovers from the surgery.

Surgery is planned for 9 AM and it will take 3 or 4 hours. She will be in the ICU for a couple of days, then in the hospital for a couple of more days. Maybe back home a week from today.

I’ll put updates here tomorrow as I know things.
