Mom is doing great
My mother is apparently doing much much better today. They took her off the oxygen and that seems to have actually done her some good. Dad was very positive about how she is feeling.

Doctor’s Office |
|
So today I went to the dermatologist and had a wart burned off of my face. Lots of fun. The worst part was the wait. I’m growing very impatient in my old age, and I hate to wait for anything. If the appointment is at 9:10, then I walk into the exam room at 9:10. Today, appt. was at 9:10 and I was there by 9:05 because I knew I would need to fill out paperwork because i was a new patient. At 9:40, they called me back to the exam room. I see the nurse for 5 minutes, then another 15 minute wait until the actual doctor comes in. 10 minute procedure, so I’m actually out of there by 10:10. But that’s 45 minutes of my time wasted. Here’s what I am proposing: When they hand me the paperwork that says that they expect full payment when services are rendered and that there are fees for late cancellations etc., I am going to hand them MY paperwork that says my working rate is xx dollars per hour. At 10 minutes past the appt. time (I’m a flexible guy) my meter starts running. At the end of the appt. we will settle up: your fee minus my fee for the time I waited. What do you think? |

Mom - day three |
|
Sounds like Mom didn’t have a great day today. She had a bout of arrythmia today, but that’s not uncommon for someone after heart surgery. The doctors are controlling it, but she doesn’t feel very good. One day at a time. |

Hospital Visits - Everyone Good |
|
We spent the evening making the rounds of the local hospitals, seeing my brother, sister-in-law, and new niece. Everyone there is doing great. Holly and I held little Rylie. Then we went over and saw mom. She is still doing great also. They took out all of her tubes, so she is just on the oxygen now. She was sleeping when we got there so we didn’t stay long. Everyone may be home by the end of the weekend, and then we’ll get ready to move Mike and Robyn next weekend. |

Mom |
|
Mom is awake and sitting up. Dad says she is doing great. They are moving her to a “Transition” room this afternoon, which is a lot sooner than I expected. I’m going over tonight to see her. |

Mom is doing well |
|
Mom is out of surgery and doing well. She is still unconscious, and probably won’t be awake until tomorrow morning. I was going to go over and visit tonight but Dad told me not to bother as she won’t even know I’m there. Even he is headed home for now. Double bypass, and everything went well. Not much more to tell other than that. Next major family event is Thursday morning. Stay tuned for news from the baby front. |
